Betty Mallorca / Artist Bio

Betty Mallorca lives and works in downtown Nampa, Idaho. She and her partner are both working artists and also own a commercial photography studio.  Her paintings range from non-representational works which are compelling and energetic combinations of forms and color, to capturing the landscape from her individual point of view. Her works possess a strong sense of design and lively, harmonious color.

Betty prefers working on a scale which can hold its own in a large space. Larger paintings are easier to visually “step into” and experience in a more physical manner.

After several years of working on a group of abstract paintings (the Bertha Series), followed by a rather lengthy hiatus thanks to moving and renovations, Betty surprised herself by making a series of Idaho landscapes named, "Oh Idaho! Landscapes from the Road.”
