Sheila A. Malone is an artist, curator and educator living and working in the San Francisco Bay area. Malone received her MFA in Digital Media Arts from San Jose State. She has taught in the Conceptual Information Arts Department at San Francisco State University, the CADRE Laboratory for New Media and the Photography Department at San Jose State. Sheila’s art explores sexuality, gender, technology and American Culture. Her artwork has been shown all over the Bay Area as well as the world. She has curated shows in San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Cruz. She was a member of the Board of Directors of WORKS/San Jose Gallery from 2001-2003 and served as the President of the Board of Directors from 2002-2003. She is a member of the Airport Art Program Oversight Committee for the city of San Jose and the San Jose International Airport’s Art and Technology Program. Currently she is adjunct faculty at Cabrillo College in the Art Photography Department where she teaches traditional and digital methods.
