Statement

ROB FUNDERBURK is a visual artist and illustrator in Chicago. Rob studied art and studio practices at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and has been based in Chicago since 1998. From 2004 to 2009, Rob was Resident Scenic Artist at AV-Aerie (formerly Open-End), a multi-disciplinary arts venue on Chicago's near NW side, where he created a series of immersive visual environments for events and performances. Rob has contributed art to various arts groups, independent publishers and educational organizations, including Another Chicago Magazine (ACM), DePaul University Art Museum, Featherproof Books, Kartemquin Films, National Pastime Theater, National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, Redmoon Theater, Stop Smiling, and THE2NDHAND, among others.
