Statement

I employ through a variety of stages and mediums themes that focus on sexual identity, confinement, the institution, and restraint.  I manipulate materials, beyond their traditional function to portray characteristics which are analogous to human features, documenting stress and time.  It is my intention to instill an empathetic response relating to solitude, misery and desperation.  Often my works employ the cloak and head covering which is in reference to my childhood memories of attending parochial school and time spent with my maternal grandmother, Sister Vessels.
