Statement

Vonn Sumner is a painter who grew up in the Bay Area and studied closely with renown painter and Pop artist Wayne Thiebaud at U.C. Davis. He has shown nationally and internationally since 2002, and his work has been featured in numberous publications. He is also a founding member of the L.A.-based artist group Pharmaka that runs a non-profit exhibition space in downtown Los Angeles. He has curated several shows at Pharmaka and is a regular contributor of criticism and reviews to Artillery Magazine.
