Statement

The idea of the “Self” and “Human Condition” intrigues me.

Through self-observation and awareness of conscious inner thoughts, desires and sensations, I attempt to examine the experiences and emotions of my own as well as others.

My work reflects upon what I see, feel and notice as the “Self” and the “Human Condition”.
It encompasses my personal experiences and emotions of being a human being in cultural and social arrangements that make up our everyday lives.

In our daily lives, we use our hands to feel, to work, and also as a means of expression/communication. Therefore, in my work, I have used the hands as a means to signify the various conflicts that I often encountered in life, emotional, spiritual, as well as physical.
