Statement

* Claudia Lugo (1968 -)   Painter- Sculptor - Mexico

* Claudia Lugo was born in 1968 in México City.

She studied art at Universidad Iberoamericana and with prestigious artist such as Huascar Taborga, Oscar Gutman and Miguel Angel Suarez.

She has participated in many group exhibitions in the USA and many other countries. She has had 15 personal exhibitions up to today and her works belong to private and public collections in many countries.

She was awarded with the "International Award Lorenzo il Magnifico" work on paper at the Florence Biennale  and in 2010 she won “Best in show” at Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Statement

My art originates from meditation since I only express one thought or feeling on each work. Ink, water and paper become an extension of my body, helping me express what I choose to think. The title is the idea I had in mind during the art work process.
