Phoebe Tree has a B.A, in cultural anthropology from Yale University. A life-long artist, she received awards in photography from Kodak and was published in Chicago newspapers at age 16. Her "Smart Art" multi-media series is based upon recycled, salvaged and found objects and photographs she takes and then draws on the surface are part of her "Look Again" series.
In 2010, she was part of the Pop-Up shop in Port Authority organized by TerraCycle, a NJ-based international upcycling company. Previously she has exhibited at Starbucks, the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Around the Coyote (Chicago), The Open Door (Michigan) and Brava Designs (Michigan).
