As one of the more visible providers of a critique of the centre/periphery model of cultural development in the early 2000’s, a new exhibition by curator Hou Hanru is highly anticipated. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale, India’s inaugural biennale, features the work of ninety-four artists from twenty-three countries in sixty exhibition spaces, spread mainly across Fort Kochi, a quaint suburb of the historic port city of Kochi.
