Statement

I work in a variety of medium, including audience interactive, new media/video and site specific installations, computer generated/3D images, photo-based manipulations, and sculpture, depending on the concept behind each piece and the best method of communication.

Generally, my work is about time and being, and the compulsions of day-to-day living and of love. It is about temporal versus eternal, the interrelation of art and science, and between humans and their tradition/beliefs within the  environments they live.  Through my work I aim to raise questions and awareness to issues both personal and universal.

All my work since 2009 fall under "Project Silkworm". The mixed and multi-media pieces and series are inspired by the history of my family's silk farm that was confiscated by the Communist government and the semiotics of culture and localities and time.
