My medium of choice is called Black Clayboards by Ampersand. They are hard boards coated in a layer of Porcelain Clay and then India Ink on top of the clay. When I etch away at the ink, the image appears in the ink. I discovered this medium right around the time I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I concentrated on images from nature and got lost in the details. Five years later I am fine and still enjoying the amount of depth and contrast I can illicit from these boards.
