Statement

Jaclyn Wright is an artist living and working in Chicago, IL, where she is a lecturer at the School of Art Institute of Chicago. She received her BA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and her MFA from Indiana University. In 2014, she was the visiting artist at the University of Cincinnati and the artist in residence at Latitude/Chicago. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally along with numerous publications, most notably Aint-Bad Magazine, The Plantation Journal and as the guest editor of Papersafe Magazine. Wright’s project, “The Two-Dimensional Shadow” is part of the Midwest Photographers Project collection at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
