Artist Joni Carr creates one-of-a-kind sculptures made from real, well worn cowboy hats, boots and saddles.  She turns discarded items into things of beauty.

"The boot is my canvas; the design comes from my love of the west, rodeos and the cowboys and cowgirls I have known.  From used tack sales, thrift stores, and estate sales, my materials range from belt buckles, buffalo head nickles, spurs, antlers and recycled glass."  Using semi-precious and precious stones, sterling silver, glass beads, fused glass, copper foil, stained glass, colored mirror and other found items, Joni's sculptures become truly unique creations.

"Each boot tells me a story.  When I see the wrinkles and worn hells, I wonder; who wore these, where they have traveled and where they will end up."
