Presently I am a Director of Photography in New York City
My portraits and self portraits have not only a subject of self, but self in one’s own environment. When working on locations for landscape photography I find myself staging and photographing the landscape and myself to create a vignette or a story relating to emotional past experience.
I live in New York City. This unique city has such diverse landscape it shouts out a story and I play the character in the photograph
I work with visual images using photography both analog and digital processes to create composite digital backgrounds as scenic elements for television and film. I received a Masters of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College. I was also nominated for an Emmy Award for lighting direction for “Duty” a half-hour drama adapted from a short story “Guest of Nation” by Frank O’Conner aired on WNYE-TV
I was the Art Director for the HBO special “Autopsy-Postmortem with Dr. Michael Baden”
My approach to photography is very much influenced by my background as a staging and lighting designer.
