Statement

Simone’s art work is a series of black and white compositions created to reflect and express the parts of the Self that are invisible.  Each piece is a complex sum of  intricate  lines  and  patterns  which mirror the integration  of  inner  and outer worlds / universes.  For Simone, creating these art  works represents the integration of the many aspects of her consciousness  into a transformative beauty and cohesive  whole. This  integration  is  the  play  of  the  lightness  of  the  soul  with   the  dense  aspects of physical life. Simone’s  deepest intention with her art work is to illumine the  threads of our common humanity.  Simone’s primary medium  is  ink on  paper.   She  also  uses  very  dense  materials  such  as  metal, glass and wood  to  frame  the  delicacy  of  her  line  patterns.
