Nanda M. Das (B.1970)



Nanda Das was born in Tripura, a state in the north-eastern hilly terrain of India. He finished his graduation in Humanities from the City College, University of Kolkata and moved to Mumbai to study art in Sir. J.J. School of art. He finished both his Bachelors and Masters with distinction in Drawing & Painting. During his Art studies he did various murals in many locations in Mumbai and Kolkata. Das’s drawings and paintings are noted for their strong hyper real rendering of day-to-day incidents, human beings, animals as well as common aspects or contemporary political events of his environs. He loves to find beauty in common objects which normally the human eye overlooks. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, at the Tao Art Gallery, Gallery Leela, Gallery art & soul & Jahangir art gallery in Mumbai. He had shows in kolkata, Tripura, New York (private gallery).

        Nanda das lives & works in Thane, Mumbai.
