Quick Facts
Statement

Alejandro Navia
Born in Boyle Heights but raised in South Central, Los Angeles, where the muralist of one city and the life style of another, sculpted and influenced this artist as a young boy. Navia, as he is known in some art communities, likes to paint what people either forgot or has taken for grated in life. From grandma stories he heard, to whatever one kid said to him on a bus stop is what you will interpret in Navia’s art pieces. You can find Navia’s paints and trompe l'oeil in Los Angeles, New York, to Miami and back, but his dream would be to paint and show in Mexico. Navia is currently working on finding a body style he could focus to claim his own. As of now you could say he is just painting his life away. Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
