Ryan Taber, a Los Angeles-based artist, has produced drawings, sculpture, installation, mixed-media, and photographic works that explore ideas and practices from a wide range of interests, including romantic nationalism, 19th-Century American Romanticist landscape painting, hobbyist languages, earth sciences and rock climbing.

2nd Street crack (image 1 & 2):  Blue green algae and particulate deposits on crack; problem with chalked pockets. 

 

Boulder 1 (image 3 & 4):  Acarospora schleicheri and small foot with tic mark on slab, problem with crimps, left of the arete on unidentified pink and grey granite boulder.   

 

Boulder 2 (image 5 & 6):  Acarpspora schleicheri and chalked flake above Go Granny Go (V5), over humg problem with edges and patina side pulls on Grandma Peabody Boulder.

 

Bierstadt (image 7):  Reminiscent of Albert Bierstadt's :The Tocky Mountains: Lander's Peak," 1863, with splitscreen microbus, 1963, Trans(Formation #1)
