Description

Oil painting on linen canvas depicting the Virgin Mary in her pregnancy holding a traditional red coral branch, symbol of Life, Love and Christ's Passion. She is accompanied by two cherubs, one with open eyes and the other with his eyes closed as to represent the traditional symbol of life and eternal rest: nascendo - morimur. They are both holding a double halo above Her head: the Sun (with the Holy Ghost) and the Moon. The Virgin is wearing her traditional blue color. This painting is 100% original and like every oil painting by Paul Armesto it has been delicately painted using the old master's layer technique with premium quality material meant to last a lifetime and more without alteration.
