Established in 2002 by Dong Jo Chang who first started his gallery in New York in 1994, The Columns has firmly fixed its reputation as one of the most powerful galleries in Korea. With numerous international exhibitions and occasional gallery talks, The Columns aims at introducing both emerging and established artists to the Korean art scene. The gallery also emphasizes on debuting its artists to the foreign market by talking part in many art fairs worldwide.
The latest exhibition showing nearly 30 most sought after artist of our era, including Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Alexander Calder to name a few, is currently drawing big attention from many art lovers not to mention the media. The Columns has opened another new space, The White gallery focusing on a group of Korean contemporary artists hoping to stage more creative talents to the art scene.
