The Parlour building is owned by the council and has been opened up for creative use by the Capacity Bristol scheme. http://capacitybristol.wordpress.com/. The Parlour Showrooms are now managed by The Showroom Projects, whose offices are based at The Parlour Studios.
The two Parlour Showroom spaces are named The Small Room and The Big Room. You can hire either or both to present arts or community based exhibitions or events. The Big Room and Small Room have separate front entrances onto a busy public street. They are not internally connected. Both spaces have large windows and benefit from a fantastic location looking out onto College Green, a central park in front of Bristol Cathedral.
The Parlour Showrooms are clean, empty spaces for you to transform as you wish. We encourage creative thought about how these spaces can be used and are especially interested in finding innovative ways to engage the public. The ethos of the spaces is that they are yours for you to do as you wish, just put them back as you found them.
We have a small amount of resources if you require them for building partitions, temporary walls, boards or plinths. For the installation and de-installation of your work you will need to bring your own fixtures, fittings, tools, filler and paint.
