Kunsthalle Wien Karlsplatz
The yellow container on Karlsplatz was recently downsized to a glass pavilion. This glass cube, again designed by Adolf Krischanitz, is now used a s permanent venue of the KUNSTHALLE wien project space, a formerly travelling emerging-art exhibiting project. Comprising about 250 sqm of exhibition floor space, an event hall and a café and restaurant, the KUNSTHALLE wien project pace is a contemporary, urban showcase for fast-moving, topical presentations of art between installation, video and performance.
Artists presented in three to four exhibitions per year are invited to respond to the venue, the architecture, or the urban context, or to develop special projects. The ‘Ten-Day Projects’ held three times a year will make the project space an experimentation platform for young artists.
