The term Terra comes with different meanings - from planet Earth, to soil, from the land of origins to the land of ownership. From religious; Terra Mater (Mother Earth) or Tellus, or Gaia, a goddess personifying the Earth in Roman and Greek mythology, to scientific as Mother Nature with its ineluctable force. Twenty selected artists explore the many prospectives related to this subject using a variety of media from 2-D, mixed media, 3-D installation and sculpture. This exhibition gives an overview of the concepts of Terra as a common ground that unites humanity with the consideration of the idea of Terra as a common gene between all cultures, religions and races.
Selected artists are: Krystle Lemonias, Susan Lisbin, Julie Joy Saypoff, Helaine Soller, Lisa G. Westheimer, Hollie Heller, Bill Westheimer, vanOs, Mike Malbrough, Sterling Brown, Jody Lee, Robert Lach, Mansa Mussa, Carol BlackLemon, Heidi Sussman, Doreen Valenza, Guerilla Galleries and Sue Karnet
