Sixth Annual Exhibition of the Surrealist, Visionary and Fantastic
The original Surrealists were responding to a world that had become increasingly a paradox - on the one hand, the Industrial Revolution had already begun to impose an unnatural order to result in more goods and presumably, the time to consume them (Tell that to the workers!). However, the world was beginning to see a new kind of chaos - the act of war was becoming, (the paradox continues to unfold) more ordered and impersonal - and more dangerous. Despite the complications that arise from increased and frantic acts of production, to this day we still know very little of the nature of reality. Our message has always been built upon the basic principles of reversing the dilution of concept and art. What better genre is there for the exploration of the relationship between idea and visual representation is there than the Vision? Here is a proving ground for artists who do not recognize limitation of imagination and experience. We are proud to continue this Caladan Gallery tradition. Surrealism, Visionary, Fantastic, Science Fiction, the Transcendent and Unknown; this exhibition will be a magnet for the expansion of mind and experience.
