Art and Social Justice: Examining the State of Our Environment
Four curators at the Historic Overton Hygienic Building for a one -time art event of compelling and unconventional installations. Examining the State of Our Environment is a month-long installation put together by the Phantom Gallery Chicago Network.
The multi-discipline work focuses on issues of interest and concern to artists and the art community, including political, environmental, moral, social, global or personal ones.
The Network is continuing its mission to provide opportunities for artists to exhibit their art while fostering economic development in communities through temporary art exhibits in vacant spaces.
Phantom Gallery Chicago Network partners with collaborating network galleries and independent curators to increase public awareness and bring critical mass to Chicago’s Southside. Thanks to realtors Lauren Lowery, from FG Commercial and property owners Davis Group, LLC, to make this possible.
