RED, a gallery exhibition by Toronto based Director/Photographer David Cash of his recent vibrant red colour blocking photoshoot that features collaborations with over 20 local creatives, launches at 244 Queen St. East on July 20th, 2017
RED is David Cash’s premier gallery showing of his largely unreleased red colour blocking photo-series featuring twelve gorgeous models, five of Toronto’s freshest designers, and an incredible team of local creatives. The show will feature large limited edition signed prints of the series which will be for sale in addition to smaller prints and exclusive t-shirts for sale in the concession area.
The show will also include a looping screening of a behind the scenes video and a number of local musical guests performing in the evenings.
David Cash strives to work with a mix of established talent and industry newcomers and was fortunate enough to have model Sophi Knight, T.V. actor Dale Whibley, and the creative team at Untitled & Co. on board with this project. For more information about the cast and crew check the description on the Facebook event here.
RED is an exploration of the potential of a colour that is evocative of both meaning and emotion. RED has the power to stimulate our sexual and physical appetites on a psychological level, and demands attention. The makeup is inspired by John Gagliano and Pat McGrath’s Dior early 2000s runway looks, editorialized for a more modern aesthetic. The clothes are the offerings of five talented local designers and the styling and creative direction toys with the subject's relation to light, interesting silhouettes, and use of colour-blocked objects.
The show will last a week and is located in a private gallery space at 244 Queen St. East.
