Het knagen van het niets aan de existentie
This exhibition takes place in the historical house and workplace of the former master-etcher Jacques Gorus, a location that nowadays serves as J. Gorus-memorial and artspace. The exhibition shows etchings and drawings, in juxtaposition with each other, by four artists-directors of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Isidoor Opsomer, Mark Macken, Renaat Braem and Bart'd Eyckermans, who worked closely with Gorus. In addition to this heretage material, Francis Denys, Kathelijne Adriaensen and Laurence Plumier are invited to make creative interventions in the exhibition, with particular attention to the etching of Bart'd Eyckermans (photo) and the existentialist philosophy of Leopold Flam.
