DESCRIPTION

John Ruskin (1819—1900) is remembered as Victorian Britain’s leading art critic and as the champion of JMW Turner. But he was also an outstanding artist in his own right.

His exquisitely detailed drawings and watercolours were the result of an intense and passionate artistic impulse. This landmark exhibition, for the first time, provides a comprehensive overview of Ruskin’s extraordinary artistic output.

The exhibition has been organised by the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Gallery of Canada.
