Words as Doors - in Language, Art, Film
The international exhibition “Words as Doors” is devoted to the mutually permeating relationship between the written word and art, film, or cinema. As incongruent as approximations to the spaces of art and film may seem, they rather recently started offering us access to alternative forms of perception. Taking the perspective of the written word and the screenplay, the exhibition’s point of departure rests with this broad coexistence of art and cinema. It pursues an orientation along key artistic positions and fields a question that may seem neuralgic in this context: How and at what point does a film begin to be conceived through the written word?
