DESCRIPTION

Ane Mette Hol works with her own form of appropriation, where she minutely re-creates phenomena and images – often photocopies or other paper based things, but also for instance the sound of rain, a tape measure, the animated image after a surveillance camera.

They represent a secondary nature, absolutely real while also being absolutely false. The exhibition is part of our series In the Collection, where the works from our vast collection are brought into new contexts by being exhibited in collaboration with a contemporary artist. Ane Mette Hol was born in Trondheim, and is today one of Norway’s internationally most important artists.
