Caribbean Through a Lens
Nottingham NG7 6BE
Caribbean Through a Lens is a project aimed at engaging local communities with The National Archive's collection of Caribbean images. NAE has worked with Caribbean Elders and Young People from St Ann's to analyse a series of photographs taken from this collection. The group have selected the images on show and expressed their thoughts on what the images mean to them. The project aims to explore the notion of the archive and provides an opportunity for those communities depicted in an archive to reclaim a voice in the way their histories are told.
