PARAGUAY PAVILION - The Encyclopedic Palace of Paraguay
Born in Asuncion, Paraguay in 1962. Visual artist, architect, graphic designer and set designer. He studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Architecture of the National University of Asunción respectively. He taught Drawing and Painting at the Workshops for the Visual Arts Center.
His work is part of the permanent Collection of Paraguayan Contemporary Art Museum of The Visual Arts Center "Museo del Barro / Isla de Francia". Also his work integrates the collection of the Art Museum of the Americas Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, USA. Awarded with the prize "Pedro Aguero" in the version 1998 for his Lifetime Achievement.
First prize at the competition EXPRESSION organized by Fuschia in 2003. He participated in various art biennials, such as: the 9th. International Drawing Exhibition, Museum of Modern Art of Rijeka, former Yugoslavia; 1st. Latin American Biennial of Art on Paper, Buenos Aires, Argentina; 19th. International Biennial of Sao Paulo, Brazil; 5th. Portrait Biennial, Tuzla, ex-Yugoslavia; 1st. Biennial of Youth Art, Buenos Aires.
Born in Asunción in 1980, studied painting, sculpture, drawing and restoration, with his mother the artist Rossi Schubert, Graduate School of Fine Arts. At 9 years old gets her first prize in painting. His technical training workshops complements Art in Germany (Baden-Baden, Karlsrhue) and France (Strasbourg).
Degree in mathematics and is currently doing a Master in Education Sciences, National University of Asuncion. In her children's school teaches drawing, painting and sculpture with the method of free expression. Study Aesthetics and History of Art Criticism at the School of Fine Arts MEC (Ministry of Education) With its 32 years old, is one of the best known artists emerging from our midst.
"Diana Rossi, was inspired, this time, by a prehistoric fossil, found recently in Paraguay. This is an installation that represents the anteater (yurumi) totemic animal of the tribe Ache-Guayaki of Paraguay. For Indians this mammal is considered genitor, sacred ancestor and icon of the ancient inhabitants of this land.
Architect, designer, and artist, born in Asunción, Paraguay the 13th of August of 1964. Lives and works in Asunción, Paraguay. Participated in Biennales, individual and group exhibits in Paraguay, United States, South Africa, Spain, France, Argentina, Cuba, England, Switzerland, Italy, and Brazil related to design, photography, architecture, and art.
His work has been published and mentioned in books, catalogs, magazines, periodicals, and blogs internationally such as ARTNEXUS, WALLPAPER. Financial Times, The New York Times, ArchDaily, among others. Since 2008 is represented by the internationally respected gallery Cristina Grajales Inc. from New York, USA. with whom has exhibited worldwide (Design Art London, Design Miami/Basel, The Armory Show.
is working as a graphic designer and began in 2003 to experiment with Net.arte and with video art, participating and exhibiting in Asuncion at the IV Hall Of Young Art Nation, Videotrama and Asuanima. In 2005, he wins the Mattise award in Asunción and sets up exhibitions for Arte BA (2006) and Glare (2007) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Also, in The Bolivarian Dream in Santiago de Chile (2006).
He is part of the first junior Latin American video art cycle in Valencia (2006) and in Ahecha (2007) in Barcelona, Spain. During 2006, he worked as a resident in Fontenay-le-Comte in France with the Exhibition " Et/Ou "as a result with three other French artists. Collectively, also exhibited in the 8th Mercosur Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil (2011). Currently working almost exclusively on art.
