Joie de Vivre
With spring comes a vivacious new exhibition at LuminArte Gallery, Joie de Vivre or "Joy of life," a showcase designed to accentuate the brighter essence of the human consciousness, and convey an enthusiastic enjoyment of life through creativity. Joie de Vivre is a celebration of spirit, a jubilee exalting life at its fullest; and in this exhibit, bright and energetic creations in the media of painting, sculpture and photography stimulate a sense of positive energy through the most light-hearted aspects of artistic expression. The exhibition will compliment “Two Brothers, Two Borders,” an exhibition of works by Cuban brothers Alejandro and Esteban Leyva, which has been extended due to popular demand, and will precede a solo exhibition of award winning artist Ron Burkhardt, which opens during the DADA Art Walk on April 20th.
Texas based artists, including Leanne Venier, Waleed Arshad, Kay Dalton, Melissa Ellis, Laura Anzak-Strike, Jessica Manheim, Jeff McClung, David Salomon, Gene Mittler and Steve Ko will be exhibiting artworks alongside nationally acclaimed artists like Irene Neal, Bronwyn Towle, Robin Antar, Teri Starkweather, Joanne Cox, Gilda Oliver and Donna Lee Steffens, as well as international artists such as Esther Wertheimer, Nicolantonio Mucciaccio, Francisco Ceron, Elisha Ben-Yitzhak, Jim Pescott and H.M. Saffer.
