Red- Existentialism in Art
LuminArte Gallery in the Dallas Design District starts off the New Year with a stimulating new exhibition, "Red - Existentialism in Art," which examines our place in the universe and delves into the questions of subjectivity, spirituality and the nature of existence. Existentialism transcends systematic philosophies and affirms introspective “authenticity,” while the color red suggests a primal identity, passionate and profound. Each artist demonstrates this depth of experience and contemplation through very personal explorations of creativity, producing distinctly powerful and moving works of art.
Scheduled from January 19 – February 9, 2013, “Red” features a roster of international artists from around the US, India, Sweden, Russia, Mexico, Israel, England and Sierra Leone as well as a few local favorites, displaying artworks in the media of painting, sculpture, photography and video art. The reception for "Red" will be held on January 19 from 7-10PM at 1727 E. Levee Street, Dallas, Texas 75207. For more information, call 214.914.4503 or visit www.luminarte.com and follow on Facebook.
