DESCRIPTION

An exhibition in collaboration with the Taipei Fine Arts Museum

The exhibition Boundaries on the Move: A Cross-Cultural Dialogue deals with various boundaries that seem fixed and permanent but are in actual fact ever-changing. The exhibition presents the works of 16 Taiwanese artists in the years 1980-2012, and those of three contemporary artists from Israel, all conducting a mutual discourse. The participating artists examine those boundaries in motion in our everyday lives, as well as the social, political and economic boundaries relevant to key issues of current life in Taiwan and Israel. They deal with the complex themes of personal identity, territorial borders, society, economics, and immigration in an age of advanced technology and globalization.
