DESCRIPTION

Since 1966, Baton Rouge Gallery has been a hub for contemporary art in the greater Baton Rouge area. Over more than four decades, the gallery has sought to bring the community exceptional art from some of the region’s most gifted and prolific artists. This November, the gallery once again hosts its annual Artist Member Group Exhibition, which will feature works from more than 25 artists beginning on October 30.

Today, Baton Rouge Gallery’s Artist Member Roster features over 50 respected and award-winning artists working in a wide array of media including everything from painting to prints, photography to porcelain. This exhibition will feature works covering many of these mediums with an even broader array of subject matter.

Among the artists whose work will be featured in the Artist Member Group Exhibition are: Kathryn Hunter, Amy James, Paulo Dufour, Jenny Authement, Diane Hanson, Marcus McAllister, Michael w. Howes, April Hammock, Michaelene Walsh, Craig McCullen, Reni Zietz, Rosemary Goodell, Paul Dean, David DuBose, Samuel J. Corso, David Horton, Brian Kelly, Dawn Black, Chris Johns, Linda Jeffers, Frankie Gould, Paulo Steven Diniz, Kathleen Lemoine and Jacqueline Dee Parker, among others.

The exhibition will be on display from October 30 through November 24 at Baton Rouge Gallery, which is open Tuesday-Sunday (noon to 6 p.m.). No First Wednesday Opening Reception will be held for this exhibition, though those who attend KINETICS on November 4 will be able to view the exhibition while bidding on numerous works from many of the artists featured.
