This is 5 Questions. Each week, we send five questions to an artist featured in Under the Radar, our weekly email highlighting the best art on the ArtSlant network. This week we seek answers from Suresh Babu Maddilety.
What are you trying to communicate with your work?
I am a sensitive overthinker. I like science, and my art is based on scientific research and its approach. My nature is to deal with whole consciousness and matter, since we are the outcome of the Big Bang. The Big Bang may have repeated numerous times; consciousness—thoughts, ideation, intangible progress, evolution—and matter also repeated numerous times. Consciousness represents numerous different characters and different cultures; matter also takes different characters and forms. The information of these things still exists, and I process them in my work. I present it, releasing innate meaning related to science in art.
What is an artist’s responsibility?
An artist’s responsibility is to freely express his inner thoughts with freedom from materialistic, cultural, social, religious and other such boundaries.

Show us the greatest thing you ever made (art or not)?
My multidisciplinary work social liquid 1 has had a great impact on other works like my paintings.
Tell us about a work you want to make but never will:
I would love to create a work of art that showcases a solar system similar to our solar system. I desire to bisect the sun into two halves and see the behavior of the planets.
sun is landing, 2018
Who are three artists we should know but probably don’t?
