Mikolaj Jackiewicz (b. 1977, Wroclaw, Poland)
Mikolaj Jackiewicz’s arresting images are colorfully translucent and transient. Each is energetic, and many reference classical art history. Jackiewicz shows his education in Design in Architecture and Urban Planning with the others use geometric architecture to set an underlying structure. Many of the pieces available at online use the human body in as an element in Jackiewicz’s kaleidoscope images, creating a surreal visual whirlwind.
Jackiewicz’s work is psychedelic, but relies on patterns of geometry and art to base his imagery in the preexisting lines of art history. Superimposing elegant bodies and fluid forms smartly engages ideas of abstractions and history.
Education: Studied Painting at Academy of Fine Arts by Prof. Alexander Dymitrowicz. Painting of Design in Architecture and Urban Planning by Prof. Wojciech Kaniowskiego.
Mikolaj Jackiewicz was chosen as a Juried Winner in Round #2 of the 2013 ArtSlant Showcase series.
