Still Point is an oil painting that represents the power of the stillness of the mind. The figure is reclined into a crystal clear lagoon whose still water surface reflects the landscape and figure offering a moment of balance and rest. The person’s reflection in the water represents the subconscious mind that is released into the cooling water. A cloud of exhalation symbolizes the release of the excess held within. The pure stillness of the water relates to the nurturing and peaceful environment of the female womb and the allowance of pure self-existence without external interference. Crystals appear on the neck of the figure, whose clarity grows with the release of unrest held within. The head of a serpent slithers in close to the figure as the presence of vitality in a pure state of existence is achieved.
