DESCRIPTION

Tian Weiqian was born in Sihong, Jiangsu in July, 1947. He has a master degree in Party School of the CPC. He was the former vice governor of Anhui province, vice chairmen of the CPPCC Anhui Provincial Committee and deputy Secretary of Party Committee. He started to learn calligraphy in 1983 in party school of the CPC; Zhang Hai, Li Duo and Xu Liming are his teachers. He specialized in calligraphy in Nanjing Arts Institute high research class between 2009 and 2011. His works has been exhibited in the National Provincial Secretary General Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of The Nation Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, the Third National Calligraphy Exhibition for Xing and Cao. Now Tian is a member of Chinese Calligrapher's Association, honorary curator of Anhui Research Institute of Culture and History, honorary president of the Calligraphers' Association of Anhui, president of Anhui Research Institute of Painting and Calligraphy.
