The Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University, is dedicated to the exhibition and study of reproducible art forms such as prints, photographs, film and video and to their capacity to reach and transform society.
The Block mounts several exhibitions a year, organizes discussions, workshops and lectures with artists and scholars and screens contemporary and classic films at Block Cinema. The Museum's permanent collection includes significant historical and contemporary prints, drawings and photographs by such artists as Albrecht Dürer, William Hogarth, Honoré Daumier, Max Beckmann, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Kiki Smith and Sue Coe. Portions of the Block's collection are searchable online.
