FLATFILEgalleries, which was founded in the spring of 2000 as FLATFILEphotographyGALLERY, has since expanded to include contemporary art and sculpture, showing all artistic disciplines in one of the largest gallery spaces in Chicago. The work of the galleries' emerging and established artists hang side by side in 30 shows in each of five gallery spaces throughout the year, with over 1,000 photographs and works on paper stored in 80 flat file drawers at all times, and many paintings and sculptures available for viewing. FLATFILE's local and international artists' work hangs in many of the world's most important museums and private collections. The variety of work at a wide range of price points is ideal for anyone seeking interesting art, from first time buyers to seasoned collectors.

FLATFILEgalleries provides art and photography to RALPH LAUREN HOME in Chicago's Merchandise Mart, as well as for the lobbies of the Prudential Building and Harbor Point. Winston & Strawn, Exelon/ComEd, Deloitte, Mayer Brown, the American Embassy in South Africa, Burrell Advertising and American Labelmark Corp. are among FLATFILE's many corporate clients. FLATFILEgalleries also works closely with numerous art consultants, architects, and designers to choose or create appropriate site-specific works of art for both residential and corporate clients.

Flatfilegalleries is a member of the Art Dealers Association of Chicago and the West Loop Gate Association.
