DESCRIPTION

Sapphire and Crystals collective's second exhibition in 1988 was held at Nicole Gallery. The African American women  return to Nicole Gallery 21 years later. Focusing on the aspect of collaboration,16 artists and their exciting new work address the Chicago Artists Month theme. The self portrait silent auction during the opening reception on Sat. presents affordable collecting opportunities. Their individual personal work exemplifies the diversity within the ethnic group. The collaborative site-specific installation is a exhibit feature distinct to this group.
