DESCRIPTION
San Francisco-based artist, Crisanta de Guzman will exhibit her series of digitally manipulated photographs and sculptures in her solo exhibition "We're not in Kansas Anymore" at Woman Made Gallery.

An economist by training, de Guzman alludes to issues like immigration, pollution and the economic crisis.  The sculptures are created out of non-traditional media and then photographed and combined with appropriated images in fictional, often surreal narratives.  "Crisanta de Guzman's work presents intimate scenes of haunting beauty that relate elements of great surprise." said Beate Minkovski, founder and executive director of Woman Made Gallery.
