DESCRIPTION

“Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour,” A Behind the Scenes Arts Experience at Area Artists’ Studios, Galleries, and Boutiques

The Plymouth Arts Center announces a premier event, the Northern Moraine Spring Art

Tour, a celebration of the visual arts and the creative process. This exciting new event

will take visitors on a self-guided tour of area private studios, galleries, boutiques, and

artists’ ‘gathering locations’ throughout Sheboygan County. It offers an unique

opportunity for visitors to personally meet a variety of fine artists in their studios, some

of which will only be open to the public during this event. The tour may include:

demonstrations; exhibitions;  an opportunity to purchase fine artwork directly from the

artists; and it’s a great time to learn about the artistic process, artist techniques, and

their source of inspiration. The Spring Art Tour is a two-day event, and will be held

Friday and Saturday, June 5th and 6th, 2015, 10am to 4 p.m. Admission for the tour is

free and open to the public.

The Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour was designed to increase the visibility of artists working and living in Sheboygan County and to encourage an appreciation for the role that artists play in the vitality of our communities. The tour will feature the works of over 35 artists working as printmakers, painters, potters, furniture makers, fiber artists, photographers, leather artists, glass artists, ironworkers, and more.  These artists reflect the amazing creative talent available right in our own communities.

The Plymouth Arts Center, located at 520 East Mill Street, Downtown Plymouth, WI is the sponsoring organization of the Spring Art Tour and is serving as the home base for the event. Look for brightly colored signs marking each Art Tour site.  The PAC is publishing a free map booklet with directions to participating sites. It will also be available on our website in Spring 2015, www.plymoutharts.org, or by calling 920-892-8409.

The Plymouth Arts Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization founded in 1993. The PAC is solely supported through membership dues, sponsorships, corporate and private donations, grants, and through fundraising events. Plymouth Arts Center operates Gallery 110 North, a fine art gallery showcasing Wisconsin artists in changing exhibits, presents a vibrant schedule of musical and theatrical productions, art classes and workshops for all ages, annual festivals such as the “Cheese Capital Jazz Crawl,” Plymouth Oktoberfest,  “Paint the Town, en Plein Air,” bus trips, and much more. The Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour helps to fulfill the PAC mission……..to enliven the spirit of the community and to enrich the lives of all by providing diverse experiences in the Arts
