DESCRIPTION

MCA DNA: New York School showcases works from the MCA’s collection of the New York School, which focuses on painting and sculpture from the post-World War II period of the late 1940s and 50s. The New York School features the MCAs compelling collection of works by important artists of the period, such as Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Philip Guston, and others.  Masterful paintings by Franz Kline will be shown alongside his lesser-known drawings, as well as three-dimensional works by Isamu Noguchi and de Kooning.
