DESCRIPTION

BOLT Residents Sarah Belknap and Joseph Belknap present IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERE, a solo exhibition of new sculptural and two-dimensional work that tries to make sense of human relationships with nature and with one another.

Sarah Belknap and Joseph Belknap have been working collaboratively for the past four years. Their work has been shown in Chicago at Zolla Lieberman, Sullivan Galleries, The Chicago Cultural Center, MDW Fair and the Ryerson Woods in Deerfield. As well as RAID Projects in Los Angeles, Los Caminos in St. Louis and Flux Space and Nexus Gallery in Philadelphia. Sarah and Joseph will be visiting artists in collaboration with The Happy Collaborationists this summer at ACRE. In May, they have a solo show at the Comfort Station in Logan Square curated by Michael Green. Currently Sarah and Joseph teach at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and are BOLT residents at Chicago Artists' Coalition.
