DESCRIPTION

Ina Lunkenheimer - Niederstrasse in Pankow, Berlin

A dialogue amongst artist from Berlin and Chicago, the bridge that art can offer creates a wonderful path of understanding. The unique possibility of expression that creative work shows who we are, what we wish and hope for, what we fear, what we are longing for, what we enjoy. Berlin and Chicago artists will gather for an encounter of cultures-Insights and outlooks in a multifaceted intensive process of communication on behalf of our common ideals.

During this exhibition, we are planning to engage several groups to join us to encourage an intensive process of communication on behalf of our common ideals to fight racism, to work for peace in this world and to educate and inspire a broader audience through art, culture and architecture.

Marianna Buchwald, CEO, International Art Adventures an organization, which since 2001 creates exhibitions and performances in America and Europe. For 10 years," I have worked as International Tour guide in Chicago and in Germany, developing art and architecture, neighborhood tours and special cultural tours to benefit different types of age groups and visitors from around the world. Our goal as an International Art Group in Rogers Park is to improve our art through lively and progressive dialog, critical feedback and through a firsthand chance to experience each other's language, culture and philosophy through art."

"It is the exchange, enriching our lives. Taking part and getting to know the life of others. Getting to know how other humans feel, live, and think opens up many new worlds. To discover these enriches our lives. Considering the world from another perspective, makes us more tolerant, opens new ways of seeing and thinking.
