THE COMPLETE PRINTS
The exhibition explores this major Chicago artist’s work in the print medium over the past forty years. Very active as a printmaker in the early Hairy Who period of his career, the exhibition includes some twenty-five etchings in his comics-inspired, early style. Also included are the intricate multi-figure images of the mid-1970s and 1980 and the imaginary portraits of the last two decades, rendered in either etching or lithography.
The exhibition is presented in conjunction with the major Jim Nutt exhibition opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago January 2011.
