About the Project

The 50 Aldermen/50 Artists - Chicago Aldermen Project has previously been on display in Wicker Park's Johalla Projects Gallery. Each of fifty artists was paired with one of the fifty Aldermen. The artist interviewed his or her Alderman, and then created a portrait in the medium of the artist's choice. Created by Lauri Apple and Jeremy Scheuch, the Project aims to connect Chicagoans with their politicians through art. The Chicago Photography Center is proud to support this connection by bringing this collaborative exhibition to our gallery. You can read more about the Project on the Chicago Aldermen Project Blog.
